Volleyball Recap: Williams Field Black Hawks vs. Perry Pumas
Williams Field faced Perry in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Black Hawks lost 3-0 to the Pumas. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat back in April.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Perry scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.
Keanae Alo paced Williams Field's offense, picking up eight kills. Alo got some help from Luke Raymond and his 25 assists. Jared Lakin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Williams Field's defeat dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Perry, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 40-4 record this season.
Williams Field does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perry, they will square off against Higley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
