Baseball Game Preview: Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Sheridan Yellowjackets

The Arkansas Razorbacks will head out on the road to challenge the Sheridan Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Arkansas took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Hot Springs.

Meanwhile, Sheridan had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They skirted past the Bulldogs 4-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 19, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Arkansas' victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Sheridan, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Arkansas couldn't quite finish off Sheridan in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Razorbacks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
