Recap: Spring Lions vs. Dekaney Wildcats

After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matchup, The Spring Lions finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a hard 21-7 fall against Dekaney. Spring was down 21-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Ahran Ogbor threw for 79 yards on six of 21 attempts. Desmond Landry Jr was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Delonte Henderson rushed for 43 yards.

Dekaney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Quinten Foster, who threw for 259 yards and a touchdown on only 19 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Markie Grant also helped out with an impressive 128 receiving yards.

Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Dekaney, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Spring will head out on the road to face off against Nimitz at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nimitz will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Dekaney, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. MacArthur will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 863rd, while Dekaney is ranked 211th).
