Volleyball Recap: Flambeau Takes a Loss

Flambeau and Prentice squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Flambeau had to settle for second. They came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 3-0. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Buccaneers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Prentice's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Piper Heikkinen led the charge by getting 18 digs and two aces. Heikkinen has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofie Staroba, who had 16 assists and six digs.

Flambeau's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Prentice, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-11.

Flambeau does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prentice, they will face off against Mellen on Saturday.
