Baseball Recap: Gloucester City Comes Up Short

Gloucester City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gateway Regional Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Wednesday.

Gloucester City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Gateway Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Gloucester City is taking a road trip to challenge Pleasantville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gateway Regional, they will face off against Sterling at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
