Basketball Recap: Aubry Hall Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Hershey's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 victory over the Cozad Haymakers. The Panthers pushed the score to 46-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Haymakers cut but never quite recovered from.

Hershey's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubry Hall, who posted seven points in addition to five assists and five boards. Hall has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lexi Pinkerton, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 13 points.

Hershey smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Hershey now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cozad, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hershey won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Patrick's at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cozad, they and Valentine will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Cozad is facing Valentine at the right time seeing as Valentine is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
