After a string of seven wins, Lakeside's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Glynn Academy Terrors by a score of 2-1. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Terrors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Carson Movius paced Lakeside's offense, picking up eight kills. Movius got some help from Dayea Matocha and her 16 assists. Avery Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 24-4. As for Glynn Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Lakeside has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Gilmer on the 20th. As for Glynn Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Effingham County on the 18th.
