Preview: Phil Campbell Bobcats vs. Clements Colts
The Phil Campbell Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clements Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Phil Campbell will be strutting in after a victory while Clements will be coming in after a loss.
After only six points in their last match, Phil Campbell made sure to put some points up on the board against Colbert Heights on Friday. Phil Campbell managed a 32-27 win over Colbert Heights.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Clements' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 55-13 loss at the hands of Colbert County.
Despite the defeat, Clements got a solid performance out of Jayden Gilbert, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown. Gilbert hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Phil Campbell's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Clements, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Phil Campbell beat Clements 44-32 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Clements' Brady Moore, who rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Phil Campbell to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
