Football Game Preview: Baltic Bulldogs vs. McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars + How To Watch

Baltic is 0-5 against McCook Central/Montrose since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on the Fighting Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Baltic has given up an average of 36.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 38-8, which was the final score in Baltic's tilt against Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan last Friday.

Despite the loss, Baltic had strong showings from Jackson Goehring, who rushed for 116 yards and one score on only 15 carries, and Ben Erickson, who picked up 106 receiving yards. Erickson's longest reception was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Meanwhile, McCook Central/Montrose hadn't done well against Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Fighting Cougars took down the Seahawks 35-18.

McCook Central/Montrose now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Baltic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Baltic was taken down by McCook Central/Montrose 46-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
