Canal Winchester took a 21-point loss the last time they faced off against Hilliard Davidson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-21 win over the Wildcats on Friday. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 36-15 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Quinton McGhee threw for 202 yards on 14 of 26 attempts. Emmanuel Kiptoo was his top target, picking up 94 receiving yards. On the ground, Jamari Snow rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown.

Canal Winchester has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 35.5 points this season. As for Hilliard Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
