Volleyball Recap: Ketcham Takes a Loss

Ketcham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the John Jay Patriots. If the Storm were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Patriots when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ketcham started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 19-25, 25-6, 25-20, 15-5.

Ketcham's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for John Jay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ketcham will square off against rival Suffern at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, John Jay is set to face off against their familiar foe North Rockland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
