Baseball Recap: Jefferson County North Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pleasant Ridge on Monday, Jefferson County North came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 18-12.

Jefferson County North has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-19.

Jefferson County North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant Ridge, they will welcome Jackson Heights on Thursday.
