Volleyball Recap: Ord Chanticleers vs. Central City Bison

Ord proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Central City Bison 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Chanticleers: when they faced off against the Bison back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Ord got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-9, 21-25, 15-9.

Jamie Vavra paced Ord's offense, picking up 18 kills. Vavra got some help from Brylie Collier and her 36 assists. Klair DeRiso controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Central City still got an impressive performance from Skylir Fischer, who had 15 digs and two aces. Fischer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
