Concordia faced Oakland-Craig in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Knights. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Concordia walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 15-25, 25-20, 25-13.
Leading Concordia to victory were Alyse Moulton and Kyra McNair. Moulton had 19 assists and 12 digs, while McNair had 17 digs and five assists. That's the most assists McNair has posted since back in October of 2024. Emily Fulton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.
Concordia's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Oakland-Craig, they moved to 13-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
Concordia will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gross Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Oakland-Craig, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Paul on the 27th.
