Soccer Recap: Briggs Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Briggs was not quite Teays Valley's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Briggs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 460th, while Teays Valley are ranked 211th).

Briggs' loss dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for Teays Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Coming up, Briggs will be taking part in a tournament against Westerville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westerville Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Briggs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Teays Valley, they have already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against Franklin Heights on the 11th.
