Softball Game Preview: Mercer County Titans vs. Boyle County Rebels

The Mercer County Titans will take on the Boyle County Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Mercer County came up short against Franklin County and fell 4-1. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mercer County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Hart, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Boyle County got themselves on the board against Lincoln County on Tuesday, but Lincoln County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won eight in a row.

Mercer County's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Boyle County, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Mercer County couldn't quite get it done against Boyle County when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 6-1. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
