McDonald extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Drew Zajack. Everything went the McDonald Blue Devils' way against the Western Reserve Blue Devils on Friday as the McDonald Blue Devils made off with a 64-44 win thanks in part to Zajack, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Joey Cappuzzello, who went 5 for 8 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

McDonald's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Western Reserve, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDonald will host Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDonald is facing Waterloo at the right time seeing as Waterloo is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Western Reserve, they will welcome Lowellville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Reserve will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Lowellville will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
