Softball Preview: Taylorsville Tartars vs. South Jones Braves
The Taylorsville Tartars will head out on the road to square off against the South Jones Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Taylorsville will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Taylorsville scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Leake County a 20-0 shutout. The win was just what Taylorsville needed coming off of a 20-3 defeat in their prior game.
Madi Sims made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
