Volleyball Recap: Addison Kilmer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mountain View over Lake-Lehman

Mountain View entered their contest against Lake-Lehman on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2021.

While Mountain View ultimately came up short, they really made Lake-Lehman work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-14, 23-25, 25-12.

Mountain View's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Kilmer, who had nine kills, three digs, and three blocks. Kilmer is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Aubrey Sanders was another key player, getting 21 assists and two blocks.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Lake-Lehman, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Mountain View has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Blue Ridge on the 27th. As for Lake-Lehman, they will welcome Greater Nanticoke Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
