Marmion is 1-6 against Chicago Mt. Carmel since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Marmion Cadets will welcome the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Marmion took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed by St. Francis de Sales to the tune of 59-32. The Cadets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Chicago Mt. Carmel faced Rolling Meadows in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Chicago Mt. Carmel enjoyed a cozy 67-52 victory over Rolling Meadows.

Chicago Mt. Carmel's win came from a few key players Marmion will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Grant Best, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and four steals. His afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Cameron Thomas was another key player, going 9 of 21 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds.

Chicago Mt. Carmel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points per game. As for Marmion, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
