Volleyball Recap: Basha Comes Up Short

Basha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Williams Field Black Hawks. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Black Hawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Basha was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.

Matthew Kendler paced Basha's offense, picking up eight kills. Kendler got some help from Brian Krummick and his 14 assists.

Basha's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Williams Field, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Basha didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Hamilton on the 22nd. As for Williams Field, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Gilbert on the 22nd.
