Volleyball Recap: Norton Takes a Loss

Norton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Phillipsburg Panthers. Bluejays fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Panthers since Saturday.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24.

Lauren Sattler paced Norton's offense, picking up nine kills. Sattler got some help from Chloe Cox and her 18 assists. Taylor Schlegel controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Norton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Phillipsburg, they pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Norton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lebo on the 4th. As for Phillipsburg, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lakin on the 4th.
