Basketball Recap: Rich Township's Loss Ends Ten-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Rich Township's game on Tuesday was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 58-47 to the Bloom Blazing Trojan. The game marked the Raptors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Rich Township lost, don't look at Jamson Coulter. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 16 on his way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Williams, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Rich Township was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloom only posted two assists.

Bloom can attribute much of their success to Joe Jones, who had four points. The dominant performance also gave Jones a new career-high in assists (two).

Rich Township's defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-7. As for Bloom, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Rich Township will face off against Kankakee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Kankakee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Rich Township likes a good challenge. As for Bloom, they will take on Thornridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
