Volleyball Recap: Clovis West Golden Eagles vs. Buchanan Bears

After flying high against Clovis East on Tuesday, Clovis West came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles lost 3-0 to the Buchanan Bears on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Eagles have suffered since November 7, 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Buchanan scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Brooklyn Lopez paced Clovis West's offense, picking up ten kills. Lopez got some help from Eve Dixon and her 12 assists. Finally, Sydney Swillis kept Clovis West's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
