Basketball Recap: Mount Ayr Skates Past Central Decatur with Ease

Mount Ayr won the last time they faced Central Decatur and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mount Ayr Raiders simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Central Decatur Cardinals 63-35. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Mount Ayr pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Central Decatur, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Ayr will challenge East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Decatur, they will square off against Nodaway Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
