Softball Recap: Leesville Road Comes Up Short

Leesville Road fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Enloe on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6. The Pride were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Savannah Oberdorf was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run. Another player making a difference was Grace Stauffeneker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Leesville Road and nudges their season record down to 7-7. As for Enloe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Enloe beat Leesville Road by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday.
