Volleyball Game Preview: Wilmington Christian Warriors vs. Red Lion Christian Academy Lions

The Wilmington Christian Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Red Lion Christian Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wilmington Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Conrad Science, who was ranked 24th at the time (Wilmington Christian was ranked 15th). The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Red Wolves on Thursday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Red Lion Christian Academy got the win against Odyssey Charter on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won four in a row.

Wilmington Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Red Lion Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Wilmington Christian took their victory against Red Lion Christian Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
