Basketball Game Preview: Oak Grove Grizzlies vs. Ledford Panthers

Oak Grove is 2-8 against Ledford since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Oak Grove Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the Ledford Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Oak Grove will head into Friday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against North Davidson on Friday. Oak Grove put the hurt on North Davidson with a sharp 77-54 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Grizzlies have posted against the Black Knights since February 15, 2022.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ledford). They breezed by Montgomery Central to the tune of 89-50 on Friday. The Panthers pushed the score to 77-41 by the end of the third, a deficit the Timberwolves had no chance of recovering from.

Ledford's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Oak Grove, they have also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Oak Grove couldn't quite finish off Ledford in their previous meeting on Wednesday and fell 72-70. Can Oak Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
