Basketball Recap: Timnath's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Timnath can now relate to. They took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coal Ridge Titans on Wednesday. The match marked the Cubs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Timnath still got an impressive performance from Max Roselle, who shot 86% from the field en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. Those 86% shooting accuracy gave Roselle a new career-high. Luke Jacobson was another key player, putting up eight points.

Coal Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Diego Gamez out in front who went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points. Gamez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 23 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ben Simons, who posted eight points and 11 boards.

Timnath moved to 18-8 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Coal Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Timnath does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coal Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-62 defeat against Colorado Academy on the 14th.
