Softball Recap: Russellville Beats Northside for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Russellville entered their tilt with Northside on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 15-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Cyclones, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Russellville let Brooklynn Hayes and Aribella Garcia run wild. Hayes scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Garcia scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Garcia has posted since back in April of 2024. Ava Brock was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Russellville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Russellville pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Northside, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Russellville will challenge Greenwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenwood's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Russellville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northside, they will head out to take on Pea Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pea Ridge will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Northside surely won't give up without a fight.
