Softball Recap: Clinton Central Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Clinton Central won the last time they faced Bethesda Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 10-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Nuriah Harvey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Harvey was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carly Davison, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Makalyn Bray, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Clinton Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethesda Christian only posted a batting average of .091.

Clinton Central pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Clinton Central has already played their next match, a 5-2 defeat against Lafayette Jefferson on the 10th. As for Bethesda Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-7 loss against Living Water Homeschool on the 8th.
