Preview: Kingston Cardinals vs. Mayville Wildcats

Kingston is 10-0 against Mayville since March of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Kingston Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mayville Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Kingston came up short against Dryden and fell 63-54. Kingston has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Austin Deroseau, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Corlis, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Mayville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 50-31 bruising from Peck.

Kingston's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Mayville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything came up roses for Kingston against Mayville in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 63-32 victory. Does Kingston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mayville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
