It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but McConnellsburg had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Fannett Metal a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for McConnellsburg, who have now won 17 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Fannett Metal with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hoyt Glenn (2), Ethan Lang, and Noah Jefferson.

McConnellsburg's victory bumped their record up to 21-0. As for Fannett Metal, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

Coming up, McConnellsburg will take on Conemaugh Township at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Conemaugh Township will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something McConnellsburg surely won't give up without a fight. Fannett Metal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
