Basketball Recap: East Chicago Central's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

East Chicago Central came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 36-31 W over the La Porte Slicers on Friday. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Slicers, too.

East Chicago Central's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for La Porte, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the East Chicago Central Cardinals take on the Gary West Side Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for La Porte, they will square off against Lake Central at 2:30 p.m. on January 11th.
