Softball Game Preview: North Saxons vs. Great Oak Wolfpack

The North Saxons will face off against the Great Oak Wolfpack at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. North will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past San Juan Hills 4-3. That's two games straight that the Saxons have won by just one run.

Kloie Iboy spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Isis Jones was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Corina Alvillar, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Great Oak beat Edison 10-5 on Wednesday.

Great Oak's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for North, their victory bumped their record up to 21-9.
