Baseball Recap: Ossining Takes a Loss

Ossining came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-3 to the Mamaroneck Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Pride in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ossining's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mamaroneck, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Ossining will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Port Chester at 4:30 p.m. on May 11. As for Mamaroneck, they will head out to challenge Scarsdale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
