Volleyball Game Preview: Monarch Royals vs. High Tech CV Bruins

The Monarch Royals will head out on the road to face off against the High Tech CV Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. High Tech CV took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Monarch, who comes in off a win.

Monarch took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Cristo Rey as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Monarch never let Cristo Rey on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-6, 25-23.

Meanwhile, High Tech CV came up short against Maranatha Christian on Saturday and fell 2-0.

High Tech CV has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Monarch, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Monarch was able to grind out a solid victory over High Tech CV when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
