Volleyball Recap: Second Baptist University-Model Comes Up Short

Second Baptist University-Model was the 3-1 winner over Founders Christian when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagle took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons on Tuesday.

While Second Baptist University-Model ultimately came up short, they really made Founders Christian work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 20-25, 25-13, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Second Baptist University-Model saw an underclassman step up: freshman Haley Koblenz had 16 digs and two aces. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Koblenz.

Second Baptist University-Model's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8-1. As for Founders Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Second Baptist University-Model wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lifestyle Christian on the 9th. As for Founders Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Humble Christian at 5:30 p.m. on the 20th.
