Football Recap: Mitch Seaman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Alexander + How To Watch

Lassiter lost to Alexander back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Trojans came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 35-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Lassiter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mitch Seaman out in front who threw for 275 yards and one touchdown while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Those 275 passing yards gave Seaman a new career-high. Collins Price also helped with two scores in total.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Lassiter, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Price, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Alexander lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Chace Collins, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Asahud Tehuti helped Collins out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards on only seven carries.

Lassiter's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Alexander, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Lassiter will take on Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alexander, they will challenge Cedartown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
