Basketball Recap: Boone Triumphs

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Boone ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed an 83-78 win over the Perry Bluejays. For the Toreadors, this counts as revenge for the 55-40 victory the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

The win made it two in a row for Boone and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-2.

Boone won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bondurant-Farrar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boone has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three contests. As for Perry, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nevada at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
