Basketball Game Preview: Northfield Marauders vs. Twinfield Trojans

The Northfield Marauders will head out to square off against the Twinfield Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northfield comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-37, which was the final score in Northfield's tilt against Winooski on Friday.

Meanwhile, Twinfield hadn't done well against Blue Mountain recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Twinfield took down Blue Mountain 53-38.

Twinfield is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Northfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Things could have been worse for Northfield, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-34 loss to Twinfield in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Northfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
