Heritage took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Midland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chemics on Monday, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since April 30th.

Heritage saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelsey Hales, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Midland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.
