Softball Game Preview: Richmond Raiders vs. Lee County Yellow Jackets

The Richmond Raiders will face off against the Lee County Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Richmond is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 14-8 to Jack Britt.

Hayden Robinson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Lockhart, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Lee County came up short against Cape Fear on Wednesday, falling 17-5. That's two games in a row now that the Yellow Jackets have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Lee County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Richmond came out on top in a nail-biter against Lee County in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 11-10. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
