University School of Jackson entered their tilt with Milan with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Milan Bulldogs on Friday.
Emma Kate Elrod was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. Elrod was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
