Horse Creek Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat the Augusta E Eagles by a goal, winning 2-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Horse Creek Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 178th in South Carolina, while Augusta E are ranked 377th in Georgia).

Braylon Wendt was the driving force of Horse Creek Academy's attack as he scored both of Horse Creek Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Horse Creek Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Augusta E, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horse Creek Academy will take on Calhoun County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
