Softball Recap: Timberlane Starts Season with Win on the Road

Timberlane had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Sanborn Regional Indians. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chaunda Poulin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Salerno, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Timberlane and Sanborn Regional will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Owls are set to take on their familiar foe Merrimack at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Sanborn Regional will challenge rival Oyster River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
