Soccer Recap: Temecula Valley's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

Temecula Valley's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Chaparral Pumas by a score of 3-1. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Pumas are ranked 925th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Temecula Valley now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Chaparral, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Temecula Valley will square off against Murrieta Mesa at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Murrieta Mesa's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Chaparral has already played their next contest (against Great Oak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
