Volleyball Game Preview: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Denver North Vikings

The Vista PEAK Prep Bison will head out to take on the Denver North Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Vista PEAK Prep and five for Denver North.

On Tuesday, Vista PEAK Prep came up short against Denver South and fell 3-1.

Vista PEAK Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Denver North came up short against Northfield on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered against the Nighthawks since April 12, 2021.

Denver North took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-21, 25-22.

Vista PEAK Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Denver North, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Vista PEAK Prep took their win against Denver North in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
