Baseball Game Preview: San Miguel Vipers vs. Morenci Wildcats

The San Miguel Vipers will head out to take on the Morenci Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Miguel has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while Morenci will come in with three straight wins.

Monday just wasn't the day for San Miguel's offense. They lost 22-0 to Bisbee on Monday.

Meanwhile, Morenci won against Miami on Saturday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Wildcats beat Willcox by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-1. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Cowboys on their field since April 12, 2022.

Anthony Roybal was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Lopez, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

San Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Morenci, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.
