Soccer Game Preview: Port Huron vs. Marine City

Port Huron hasn't had much luck against Marine City recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Red Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Mariners at 5:00 p.m.

Port Huron is looking to pick up the season's first win, something they couldn't quite do against Hazel Park on Monday. The Red Hawks and the Vikings finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Marine City hadn't beaten Marysville on the road since May 18, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Mariners' defense stepped up to hand the Vikings a 1-0 shutout. Finley Hatcher had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Marine City.

With that draw, Port Huron's record moves to 0-1-1. As for Marine City, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Port Huron might still be hurting after the 6-2 loss they got from Marine City in their previous meeting back in May of 2019. Can the Red Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
